Abbey Hill Academy
Abbey Hill Academy is a magical place where young people aged 11 to 16 who have learning difficulties and disabilities learn, grow, inspire and achieve. Every student is nurtured, valued and empowered to have the highest aspirations for their future. Students reach their full potential through the provision of a stimulating, innovative and creative curriculum. Our students achieve at the highest possible standard because we equip them with the skills to succeed and inspire a lifelong love of learning.
Abbey Hill Sixth Form
Abbey Hill Academy Sixth Form I would like to welcome you to the Abbey Hill Academy Sixth Form. I am pleased to report that we recently received an Ofsted visit in January 2020 and the judgement remains the same, with Abbey Hill Academy including the Sixth Form continuing to be a good school. Our students experience a fabulous range of opportunities, supported through outstanding teaching & learning to prepare them for their futures.
Archway Academy
Archway Pupil Referral Unit is a fully inclusive place of learning which ensures that all pupils achieve their potential personally, socially, emotionally, physically and educationally. As a Pupil Referral Unit, Archway welcomes pupils in KS3 and KS4 from across the Borough of Redcar and Cleveland, when they are unable to continue to attend their present school. This may be because they are permanently excluded or at risk of this, struggling to maintain attendance because of anxiety or crisis or new to the area.
Green Gates Academy
Green Gates Academy is a primary school for pupils ranging from Year 1 to Year 6. Pupils attending our school have an Education Health and Care Plan due to their social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Some of the conditions our pupils are diagnosed with are ADHD, ASD, Attachment, Sensory Processing Disorder, ODD, ADD and Mental Health difficulties. We presently offer 50 places in our academy.
Hollis Academy
Hollis Academy is a vibrant secondary special school located in Middlesbrough and is for students aged 11-16 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMHD). Each of our 85 students has an Educational and Health Care Plan (EHCP), formerly known as a Statement of Special Educational Needs (Behaviour).
Mo Mowlam Academy
Mo Mowlam Academy is a Special School for students aged 5-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties. We are a team of dedicated professionals who feel passionate about improving life chances for young people, enabling them to be successful and fulfil their potential. We strive to deliver a personalised curriculum which supports and challenges young people to be the best they can.
Westlands Academy
Westlands Academy is a secondary special school for students aged 11-16 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMHD). Each of our 85 students has an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP), formerly known as a Statement of Special Educational Needs (Behaviour). In November 2021, Ofsted judged Westlands Academy to be a good school. We are very proud of this.
The Meadows Academy
The Meadows Academy is a mixed secondary special school that caters for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues. Many of our young people live across County Durham and in some cases live beyond the borders into Darlington, Cleveland, Middlesbrough, Cumbria and Northumberland. The school's reputation is one that we are particularly proud of, providing a caring, safe and family orientated ethos.
The Woodlands Academy
The Woodlands Academy is an Academy for children with a range of Special Needs and Disabilities. Our aim is to prepare our students for the challenges of the 21st Century. For some students this will mean a working independent life and for others there will be planned dependency with as much independence as their needs allow. Our aim is for children to develop into, confident, happy, positive young people. We will ensure we understand each unique individual and their needs. Personalised planned pathways support every child in their progression.
